Assessment for Standard Set C - Capstone Professional Practice is via submission of a portfolio of evidence submitted online that is the subject of a competency interview/discussion between an adviser and an assessor.
To successfully complete this assessment, you must ensure that your documentation and professional practice demonstrates the following:
- The six step advice process or standards of professional practice
- Competence in the areas of advice given
- Duty of care
- Monitoring of changes to legislation, regulations and relevant industry and professional codes of practice
- Identification of implications of such changes through subsequent changes in own behaviour and/or practice, where applicable
- Compliance via activities observed during the assessment process with: any policies, procedures, and requirements of the organisations involved, the standards of relevant professional bodies, including codes of ethics, any relevant legislative and/or regulatory requirements e.g. Privacy Act 1993, Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Financial Advisers Act 2008, etc.
Examples of the types of documentation you could use in your portfolio of evidence to demonstrate the above are (not all of these are required):
- Disclosure Statement you presented to each client [signed and dated]
- Statement of Advice
- Scope of service / Scope of engagement / Scope of advice
- Fact Find / Needs Analysis tool or document / Data gathering forms

- Fee schedule

This option is designed for those advisers wanting comprehensive training on the unit standards and assessment process plus the necessary templates needed to meet the new regulatory requirements.
This includes:
- Provision of workbook and templates to meet the new regulatory environment
- Training in systems and processes to meet the Code of Professional Conduct
- Gaining experience in the Best Practice and compliance processes to enable compliance with the Regulations and the Code
- Preparation for successful completion of assessment

Option 2: Pre-assessment Overview
This option is designed for advisers who believe their documentation and professional practices meet the requirements of the unit standards, but wish to ensure they have sufficient evidence and understanding of what is required under the assessment process.
This includes:
- Assisting you to ensure your portfolio of evidence is correctly prepared and documented.
- Understanding how to upload your evidence and prepare for the competency interview.
- Assessment.

Option 3: Assessment only
This path is for those advisers who are confident they fully understand the assessment process and have a portfolio of evidence that meets the requirements of the unit standards.
This includes:
- Assessment.

- ETITO Standard Set C DAO fee of $260 + GST.

Assessment
Strategi Institute is accredited as a Delegated Assessment Organisation (DAO) and therefore, is able to assess against the unit standards of Standard Set C - Capstone Professional Practice.
Upon submission of a portfolio of evidence and accompanying attestations, Strategi Institute will review and subsequently conduct a competency interview with the adviser.
Strategi Institute will then make a recommendation to ETITO on whether the adviser has met all of the requirements of the Unit Standards.
Based on Strategi Institute’s recommendation, ETITO will determine whether or not the adviser has successfully completed Standard Set C - Capstone Professional Practice and award the relevant credits accordingly.
Please note that further evidence may be required as a result of Strategi Institute’s assessment, before a recommendation is made to ETITO.
Bespoke Courses
Strategi Institute offers bespoke courses for its one and three day course options to networks and corporates who wish to make their own venue, equipment and catering arrangements. To qualify for a bespoke price, a corporate or network needs a minimum of 16 candidates for a bespoke course.
